Jane comes to Massey University from Te Wananga o Aotearoa, where for the last year she has been an advisor for a TEC-funded Literacy and Numeracy Project.

In recent years Jane has led a national literacy and numeracy professional development project for tertiary teachers, and held positions in staff and academic development at AUT and MIT. She has also co-founded a Private Training Establishment (PTE) for adult learners, taught English as a Foreign Language in Austria and managed a programme for PTE students transitioning to university studies. Jane is particularly interested in the experience of under represented groups in tertiary study, and links between student achievement and staff development.
