Accommodation scholarships support new students enrolling at Massey University. Applicants should have a record of academic excellence, leadership, and community engagement and contribution.
All applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
All applicants need to meet the entry criteria for the programme they intend to enrol in at Massey University.
School leavers must be able to demonstrate leadership at school or within the community; provide a personal statement or testimony, written by the applicant, including a justification as to why they should be considered for the scholarship.
If a scholarship recipient leaves Massey Halls for any reason, their scholarship will be terminated immediately and a lump sum applied to their account on a pro-rata basis and will be required to pay this sum immediately before departure.
Applications are assessed based on evidence of academic excellence, leadership, and community engagement and contribution:
Applicants must provide a completed scholarship application form. A personal statement or testimony separately in written, audio or video form. Copies of school reports for Year 12 and 13 and evidence of acceptance into Massey University, when available.
The Massey Halls Scholarship Review Team is responsible for awarding of the Massey Halls scholarships. The panel reserves the right to not award all scholarships in a year if there are no or insufficient suitable candidates apply
The scholarship is in New Zealand dollars and is credited towards the accommodation fees the last 12 – 15 weeks of the residential agreement. The scholarship credit cannot be applied to any administration or contingency fees.
These scholarships are not tenable with other Massey University scholarships
