Manawatu Campus: Social Sports Leagues

Overview

The Massey University Palmerston North Campus offers a variety of different Social League Sport options for students to enjoy.

Both halls teams, and non-halls teams are encouraged to enter, and will have an enjoyable experience throughout the 8-week league.

Sports available are: Basketball (Monday night), Volleyball (Tuesday night), Ultimate (Wednesday night), Netball (Thursday night), Indoor Football (Friday night), and Futsal (Sunday afternoon).

Basic Rules

• You may only field players who are on your registered team list - no ring ins!
• All leagues other than Futsal, require a minimum of ONE FEMALE on the court at all times
• Shoes must be worn, no shoes, no game
• Please ensure your team warms up before there game to reduce the risk of injury
• Results tables are posted weekly at the Recreation Centre 
• Draws cannot be changed to suit individual teams

Fair Play

And finally, please remember to adhere to the New Zealand "Fair Play" Philosophy throughout:

• Honesty in contest
• Politeness between all participants (including full respect towards your supervisors)
• An acceptance in good spirit, of the results
