The Academic Board meetings provide an opportunity for students to graduate without attending a graduation ceremony. Students are sent their graduation certificate in the post after the meeting date. If you choose to graduate via Academic Board you will not be able to attend a graduation ceremony for this qualification at a later date.
Applications to graduate via Academic Board close on the 1st of the month for that meeting. For example to graduate via the February Academic Board you must apply before the 1st of February.
You will need to have clearance to graduate three weeks prior to the meeting date.
If you are waiting for your thesis or your practical report to be marked and have missed the clearance date to graduate we will defer your application to the next available meeting.
If you have not met the requirements to graduate in time for the Academic Board meeting in which your application has been entered, your application will be deferred to the next meeting or withdrawn depending on your circumstances.
We will send you an email if you have been deferred or withdrawn from a meeting.
There is an option available for Bachelor of Veterinary students to graduate in a special Council Meeting held in December each year.

Graduation Certificates are sent out to the address held on your Massey file so please ensure this address is up to date before proceeding (please update your Contact Information by logging into your student homepage). There is an option of having your certificate delivered to an alternative address, please indicate this clearly on your application.
All certificates sent within New Zealand are couriered with track and trace and a signature required upon delivery.
If you live overseas or want to have your certificate delivered to an overseas address you are required to pay a courier fee for this. Your certificate will not be sent until the courier fee has been paid. For more details and to make payment see Having your Graduation Certificate sent overseas. Certificates to an overseas address are sent via DHL.
If you don't receive your certificate you must notify us within four months of your graduation or you will be required to pay for a replacement.
