Many courses in these areas are available to study abroad and exchange students. Explore your options if you are studying any of these subjects.
Semester 1 is equivalent to the spring/winter semester in the Northern Hemisphere. Semester 2 aligns with the fall semester. Check our semester dates before booking your flights and plan to arrive on campus one week before the start of lectures to attend Orientation.
Four courses, worth 15 credits each, is the normal semester load. 60 credits equate to 12–15 U.S. semester credits, 30 ECTS, and 60 CATS. You can find information about course levels, our numbering system, checking the campus and semester availability, and more on our Selecting Your Courses page.
You must be enrolled in at least 45 credits of Internal mode courses per semester in order to meet Immigration New Zealand's student visa requirements. 45 credits normally equate to three Massey courses. You may take one 15-credit course by Distance or Block mode each semester. Ensure your home university approves of this mode of study before enrolling in a Distance or Block course.
Any prerequisites will be listed on the full course description, under the Requirements heading. Nursing and most Veterinary Science courses are not open to study abroad or exchange students.
