Bevan is a Professor in the School of Management (Albany). He is a member of the Healthy Work Group, which is a multidisciplinary team of researchers from Massey interested in psychosocial factors in workplace health and safety. Bevan’s primary research focus is on workplace bullying and workplace violence and he has published extensively on these topics in a number of international journals. Bevan is also a board member of the International Association on Workplace Bullying and Harassment and former board member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management.
Bevan's primary research interest focuses on organisational and psychosocial factors related to workplace health, safety and well-being. His recent focus has been on workplace violence and workplace bullying, and he was a named investigator in a recently completed HRC funded project investigating workplace bullying in New Zealand workplaces.
