New Zealand ShakeOut 2018

Massey University will once again participate in the New Zealand ShakeOut, a national earthquake drill and tsunami hīkoi (evacuation).

ShakeOut drills are held across the world to remind people of the right action to take during an earthquake, which is to Drop, Cover and Hold. More than 1.34 million people took part in the last New Zealand ShakeOut, held in 2015.

For staff teaching or leading a meeting during the drill, a PowerPoint presentation ShakeOut 2018 is available to help facilitate participation.
